As we close another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished together. It has been a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and unforgettable experiences.

Our students have embraced so many wonderful opportunities—from learning to read and write with increasing confidence, strengthening their mathematical thinking, and exploring science at TELUS Spark and Zoo School, to swimming lessons, our memorable adventure at Camp Chief Hector, and even caring for our classroom ducks! These experiences have helped create lasting memories while supporting meaningful learning both inside and outside the classroom.

This year also provided rich opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Indigenous cultures and traditions. We were honoured to learn from Sandra Manyfeathers, who shared the Blackfoot language, stories, and teachings with our students. We also welcomed Jackie Soppit from Wandering Spirit, who captivated us with her Jingle Dance performance and taught our students the art of hoop dancing. These experiences helped foster respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the rich cultures that are part of our community.

Like every school year, we also experienced change. We welcomed new students into our classrooms, supported one another through staffing changes, and continued to build a caring school community where every child could belong, learn, and grow. Through it all, our students demonstrated resilience, kindness, and a willingness to embrace new experiences.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible School Council. Your generosity and countless hours of volunteer time have enriched the experiences of every student. Thank you for supporting Camp Chief Hector, swimming lessons, Alien In-Line, field trips, Healthy Hunger, and so many other initiatives throughout the year. Your commitment to our school community is deeply appreciated, and the opportunities you provide have made a meaningful difference for both students and staff.

As we look ahead to next year, we will also be saying goodbye to several valued members of our school family.

We wish Mrs. Nelson all the very best as she begins a new chapter at another school. We also thank Mr. Anthony, Ms. Katherine, and Ms. Natallia for the compassion, dedication, and support they have provided as Educational Assistants. Their care for our students has made a lasting impact, and they will be greatly missed. We also say farewell to Ms. Ayesha, our wonderful lunchroom supervisor, and thank her for the care and positivity she brought to our students each day.

We are also excited for Ms. Micheal and Mrs. Browne as they prepare to welcome new additions to their families. We wish them much happiness as they enjoy this special time together.

While we say goodbye to some familiar faces, we are excited to welcome new members to our team. We are pleased to welcome Ms. Hollan, Ms. Mangat, Ms. Dugay, Ms. Zankl and Ms. Smyth to our teaching staff, Ms. Bilyk and Ms. Leonard to our Educational Assistant team, as well as Ms. Conkin to our Lunchroom Supervision team. We are also thrilled to have Ms. Nida, Ms. Nina, Ms. Olson and Ms. Behl staying on as permanent members of our team. We look forward to the talents, experiences, and care they will bring to our school community.

To our incredible staff—thank you. Your dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our students are evident every single day. You go above and beyond to create classrooms where students feel safe, challenged, supported, and inspired to learn. Your work truly changes lives.

To our families, thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and collaboration throughout the year. Education is strongest when schools and families work together, and we are grateful for the support you have shown our students, staff, and school community.

And finally, to our students—thank you for making every day meaningful. Your curiosity, perseverance, kindness, laughter, generosity and excitement for learning are what make our school such a special place. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished this year and can't wait to see what the future holds for each of you.
