This week was full of exciting learning opportunities across the school. Ms. Flanigan and Mr. Topolnisky’s classes attended their final day of Zoo School. This has been an incredible experience for our students, providing hands-on learning and the chance to deepen their understanding of animals, habitats, and conservation. We are grateful for the opportunity and the enthusiasm students brought to each visit.

We also began our gymnastics unit in Physical Education. Students across all grades have been learning foundational skills such as balance, coordination, and safe movement using mats and floor activities. As we continue with this unit, please ensure your child is dressed for movement (comfortable clothing) and, if they have long hair, that they bring a hair tie to support safety and participation.

Looking ahead to next week, we have several events and activities planned. Our School Council meeting will take place on April 14, and a link will be shared with families. We encourage anyone interested to join and stay connected with school initiatives.

Our Grade 2 students will be heading to Aggie Days, which is always a highlight and a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about agriculture and farming in an interactive setting. We will also have a Healthy Hunger lunch on Thursday for those who have ordered.

In Physical Education, students will continue building on their gymnastics skills and will begin progressing to climbing activities on the trestles. Safety and proper technique will continue to be a strong focus as students develop confidence in these new skills.

Additionally, we are pleased to welcome back Constable Van Waes, who will be working with our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students. She will be speaking on a variety of important topics, helping to support student awareness, safety, and decision-making. We always appreciate her time and the strong connections she builds with our students.

We look forward to another engaging week of learning ahead!
