As we move into June, our students continue to demonstrate their hard work, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.

This week, our Grade 6 students completed Part B of the English Language Arts Provincial Achievement Test. We are incredibly proud of the effort they put into preparing for and writing the exam. While PATs can sometimes bring a few nerves, our students approached the assessment with confidence and determination. It has been wonderful to see them showcase the skills they have developed throughout the year, and many students left feeling proud of their accomplishments.

Our Grade 6 students also participated in their final round of school immunizations this week. We would like to thank families who provided consent and helped ensure a smooth process. The students handled the experience with maturity and courage.

The rainy weather certainly made its presence known this week! While many students enjoyed splashing through puddles and exploring the outdoors, we also had some very wet children returning from recess. As we continue to experience unpredictable spring weather, we ask families to help ensure children come to school dressed appropriately for the conditions, including waterproof footwear, jackets, and extra clothing when possible. We also encourage conversations at home about the importance of using rain gear as intended and making choices that help students stay dry, comfortable, and ready to learn throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the week was a visit from the Little Red Reading Van. Our Kindergarten students and students in our EES program had the opportunity to explore a wonderful collection of books, listen to engaging stories, and share their imaginations through conversations about reading. The visit sparked curiosity, excitement, and a love of literacy. We are also grateful for the generous donation of two books to our school library, which will be enjoyed by many students for years to come.

As we look ahead to next week, the pace will be a little quieter, although learning will continue both inside and outside the classroom. Our Grade 6 students will prepare for another Provincial Achievement Test, while students across the school continue to engage in meaningful year-end learning activities.

Students will also spend more time working in our pollinator garden, learning about environmental stewardship, local ecosystems, and the important role pollinators play in our community. Outdoor learning opportunities and community walks will continue to provide students with authentic ways to connect classroom learning to the world around them while enjoying the warmer weather.

As we enter the final weeks of the school year, we are grateful for the continued support of our families. There is still much learning, growth, and celebration ahead, and we look forward to sharing these experiences with our school community.
