Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms, caregivers and important people in our student's lives. We hope you have a great weekend celebrating.

Please join us for a School Council meeting on Tuesday May 13 at 6pm. We will be meeting in person, however, there will also be a virtual link sent out to parents to join online if they wish.  

On Thursday May 15 we will be welcoming Sandra Manyfeathers to join us to do some learning about spring on the land. She is a member of the Kainai First Nations and is a fluent speaker of the Blackfoot language. She has worked closely with the Calgary Board of Education and the University of Calgary. We are looking forward to the knowledge and expertise she will bring to EMJ.  

We will be having our Kindergarten Orientation on May 15 at 5:00pm. All students and families enrolled in the kindergarten program for the 2025-2026 school year are invited to attend. We will be sharing information about the program, what to expect, information from our Speech Language Pathologist and our school nurse as well as a tour of the school.  

The community of Belmont is newly designated to EMJ next year and we invite those new families on May 15 at 6:15pm. We will provide some information about the school, a tour and a chance to ask questions. We look forward to meeting many of our new families.
