This week was filled with exciting learning opportunities and community events for our students!

On Wednesday morning, our Grade 6 students visited Harold Panabaker School as part of their transition planning for Grade 7 next fall. Students returned excited about the opportunities and experiences that junior high will bring. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they begin preparing for this important next step in their educational journey.

On Thursday, our Kindergarten students and several students from the EES classes spent the day exploring TELUS Spark. Students had many hands-on opportunities to learn throughout the building and engage in exciting activities and exhibits. A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who helped make this memorable experience possible for our students.

Thursday evening also brought our Spring Dance, and fun was had by all! The dance was very well attended, and families enjoyed the opportunity to order pizza, snacks, and drinks while spending time together as a school community. We saw many creative and colourful outfits for the neon theme! Thank you to the EMJ Parent’s Association for organizing such a wonderful event that brought our school community together to celebrate. We would also like to give a huge shout out to all of the teachers who attended to supervise and enjoy the festivities alongside our students.

Looking ahead to next week:

  • Students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 will be participating in a school survey to share their thoughts and experiences about our school community.
  • Grade Five students will be going to Harold Panabaker School on May 19 to participate in some Indigenous Games
  • Our Grade 6 students will also begin preparing for their upcoming Provincial Achievement Tests.
  • Healthy Hunger will take place on Thursday featuring Taco Time for students who placed orders.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
