We had another wonderful week of learning at school. Students enjoyed practicing their badminton skills in Physical Education, building coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship while having fun staying active. Many classes also took part in community walks, taking advantage of the beautiful weather and exploring the many signs of spring in our community. Students were excited to observe budding trees, returning birds, and the changing season around them.
Next week promises to be another exciting and busy one. We are looking forward to welcoming our students registered for Kindergarten next year as families join us for our Kindergarten Orientation. This is always a special opportunity for our newest learners to visit the school, meet staff, and begin becoming familiar with their new learning environment. We will also be hosting an Open House for our new Learning and Literacy (L&L) students and families, and we are excited to welcome them into our school community.
Our Grade 6 students will be writing the writing portion of their first Provincial Achievement Exam next week. Students and teachers have been working very hard to prepare, and we are proud of the effort, perseverance, and growth our students have demonstrated throughout the year. We wish them confidence and success as they complete this important milestone.
On Wednesday, our Kindergarten and EES students will participate in a special presentation from Scientists in School. This hands-on learning opportunity will allow students to explore science concepts through engaging activities and experiments designed to spark curiosity and excitement for learning.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to another week filled with learning, exploration, and meaningful experiences for our students.
