We were so fortunate to have Hal Eagletail into EMJ to share stories and teachings from an Indigenous perspective. He spoke to all classes about the brave buffalo who walks into a storm instead of running away from it which highlighted the value of facing our problems and not running away from them. We learned how to say hello and thank you in the Dene language. The power of music was also shared as Hal sang to us accompanied by his drum. It was a wonderful experience for students and staff. Sīyísgáàs Hal.

Our annual Gingerbread House Decorating evening was another success. We had many families come to the school and show off their decorating skills. Thank you to everyone who came out and to School Council for running the event.
