Farwell to the School Year.

As we bid farewell to this school year and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead, let us carry forward the lessons learned and the friendships made. I would like to extend my gratitude to EMJ’s incredible students whose curiosity, hard work and perseverance have made our school a great place to be!

I extend my gratitude to our teachers and support staff for their dedication to the learning and well-being of our students and one-another. I would be remiss if I did not mention my immense gratitude to Mrs. Milkert, Ms. Elies-Guss and Ms. Bellamy who lead the school last fall in my absence.

To our families: Thank you for your partnership and for your support and trust in us. Your involvement and encouragement have been instrumental in our collective success. This included attending parent-teacher conferences, contributing to fundraising events, or volunteering on field trips. Thank you.

To our School Council: I'm also grateful. Thank you for the countless hours you spend ensuring we can enrich learning for all students in the learning community!

To EMJ students moving to new schools this fall, I wish you the best! I hope you carry with you memories of learning and friendships to your next school. The students leaving include our grade sixes, others that have moved to different schools and programs, and the students we welcomed for a few short months from Acadia School.  I have attached a poem Bennett wrote then read at the Grade 6 Farewell (below)

May your summer break be filled with joy, relaxation, and memorable moments with family and friends. I hope you will take some time to relax and rejuvenate; read books and enjoy nature. We look forward to seeing you on the 29th August when the 2024 to 2025 school year begins.
