Exciting News at EMJ: Trickster Theatre Is Coming!
We are thrilled to share that the Alberta Foundation for the Arts has awarded EMJ a grant to support a residency with Trickster Theatre! From November 2–6, the Trickster Theatre team will be joining us for an exciting week of creativity, collaboration, and performance.
During the residency, each class will work with the artists to create their own performance. Students will have opportunities to share ideas, use their imaginations, work together, and bring their learning to life through drama and storytelling. Whether students enjoy being in the spotlight, contributing ideas behind the scenes, or working with classmates to bring a story together, this experience will offer something for everyone!
The residency will be a wonderful opportunity for students to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, practise teamwork, and celebrate their individual strengths. We are especially excited to see the creativity and unique perspectives our students will bring to their performances. We look forward to seeing what they create when imagination takes centre stage!
A heartfelt thank-you to the Alberta Foundation for the Arts for providing the grant that helps make this valuable learning experience possible for our students. We are also incredibly grateful to our EMJ School Council, who are generously funding the remainder of the residency. Your support helps bring enriching opportunities into our school and creates memorable experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
We are so fortunate to have community partners who believe in the power of the arts and the opportunities they create for children. We can't wait to see our students' creativity shine and share the excitement of this special week with our EMJ community!
